Jersey Youth Academy Annouced

jersey youth academyThe third class of the Jersey Youth Academy has been announced. The Academy will be held July 14 to 19 in Columbus, Ohio.

Selection was based on merit, motivation and preparation for the program as reflected in the written application and goal statement. The 2013 keynote address will be given by James S. Huffard III, the 2012 National Dairy Shrine Distinguished Dairy Cattle Breeder and past-President of the American Jersey Cattle Association. Dairy sustainability expert Dr. Jude Capper is also confirmed to speak. A highlight of their program will be the “Meet the Deans” session, where the young people will meet leaders from the Jersey community to gain their unique insights about the future of the dairy business with a specific focus on the Jersey cow.
