Empire Specialty Cheese Co. LLC’s is planning to move into a vacant plant in Ashville, N.Y. with a proposed $6.37 million project.
Armed with incentives from Empire State Development Corp. and the Chautauqua County Industrial Development Agency, Empire Specialty Cheese has acquired the former AFA Food Inc. meat processing plant and will shift its operations there.
Empire Specialty Cheese, founded in 2000, produces ricotta and mozzarella cheese under private label contracts. By moving into the plant, the company will be able to add shredded cheese and cubed cheese lines.

i am a former employee of Fairbank farms/ AFA Foods plant in Ashville NY. I was with them for a little over 8 yrs. i was one of the packers on a pack line..when i started out there..then later became one of thier best Casecode operators. i have had 6yrs prior to that when i worked six years at my first job. I have had over 14 years of manufacturing experience.I also have excellent attendence and good work habits. I am intrigued about the possibility of new business taking over the place where i used to work..until they closed thier doors and went bankrupt..I currently have a fulltime job and work in falconer..but am looking for a better job. i can be reached at 716-499-8355 or by email at nap_skip@ymail.com
